( Read about it here )

This started off completely different (I don't have proof, you'll have to take my word for it)... but it looked horrible (reason for no proof). So I ripped it apart and started again and came up with this. Maybe it's still horrible... I kind of think it's cute.
It's collage/painting on a round canvas.
Somebody went to a lot of trouble to make this little darling out of wire rings, safety pins, plastic beads, a doll head and chenille... but why?
So I'm somewhat excited to start sewing again (instead of having my hands covered in glue and whatnot - more about that later), and have also found a cut out, but not yet made up Mausfrau from last year. I'll add her to the pool, sans ears this year.
I've just realised I don't have any polyfill... I'll have to sew tonight and stuff tomorrow after a quick trip to Spotlight to get the requisite 'guts' for my toys.
If anyone would like to test my Boydie pattern to make a Softie for Mirabel, leave a comment or email me.

These dolls are so cute... anyone know what they are?

Something has spooked Boydie and this ungainly little bird is taking off for only the second or third time.

I'm trying out an aussie independant selling site. www.madeit.com.au. Check it out!

I'm testing the new "flock" browser. It lets one post straight to their livejournal, blog images straight from your flickr account (I know you can do that in flickr anyway, but I'm testing it from flock). It basically seems very cool and sociable - which I guess is what it's all about.
Here's a picture I did on my wacom using artrage. I love artrage.

My first totally baby-friendly Boydie. No beanies, no feathers, no buttons. Cotton and Acrylic Plush. Made from a new and unused doona (duvet) cover.
Donated to the Christian Carlos charity auction: christiancarlosfund.blogspot.com/
This is my third Boydie stuffed toy, and my first to go on sale. He (she) is made from my own pattern and fashioned after some of the paintings I did last year for our Kindergarten's craft stall (thankfully all sold now). Available at Etsy>
Inspired by my paintings, and ambitious beyond belief I made a pattern to make Boydie stuffed toys for the Craft Stall (which is tomorrow!!!). This was the first one. There's another cut and ready to sew but now I have to go and make cupcakes and I don't think there'll be more than this... and Finlay's taken ownership of it so I don't think he'll be for sale either (the boydie, not finlay - finlay's always for sale!!! <-joke)
